PC - Reset Windows 10

Option 1:
  1. Save any work and close all programs
  2. Press the keyboard Windows logo key + L to get to the sign-in screen
  3. Restart the PC in Recovery mode by HOLDING DOWN the Shift key while selecting the Power icon > Restart in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  4. The PC will restart in the Windows Recovery Environment.
  5. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC -see below for options
Option 2:
 1. Open Start > Settings (cog wheel icon)
2. Select Update & Security
3. Select Recovery in the lefthand menu
4. Select "Get started" under the "Reset this PC" option

RESET OPTIONS:

"Keep My Files": This will:
  • Reinstalls Windows 10 and keep your PC account and personal files.
  • Removes apps and drivers you installed.
  • Removes changes you made to settings.
  • Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10 apps from your PC manufacturer these will be reinstalled.)
"Remove everything"
    Does what it says on the tin - essentially a factory reset.
